Thirty years ago this week, Vint Cerf "a great adventure" began. January 1, 1983, he and his colleagues started on the Internet.

As the Internet today, we did not want to recognize it, the domain name system, events such as the World Wide Web, Spam and LOLcats were still in the future.

But Surf Team TCP / IP protocol moved DARPA system, they created a pipeline that underpins everything we use today. Some computers will not change the way they communicate. They have a huge rocket strapped to the entire planet and hit the ignition button.

The Internet of our time is the most disruptive technology, changing the way we live, work and play, and like any major technological change is both a wonderful and a terrible thing.
